“The Sweet Everlasting” by Judson Mitcham

Hello IYBC,

I hope you are enjoy reading”The Sweet Everlasting” by Judson Mitcham.

Ellis Burt is indeed a broken man, he reflects back on the “yesterday’s” that brought him to this moment and just wonders why?

What happened to Susan his wife? his son?

Ellis is seventy-four years old, but he was in prison for six years. I am already wondering what happened to this man? IYBC as you read “The Sweet Everlasting” this was era of Jim Crow, women had no rights, Ellis is the common denominator, but the question is when did he realize it?

I look forward to your thoughts and comments.
