“A Chance In The World” Steve Pemberton May 17,2012

” I made a conscious choice that I would have a different life and a different path”

“A Chance In The World” by Steve Pemberton is the book I will be facilitating. Please join IYBC and I on 17 May 2012 6:30 pm at the Augusta, Richmond County Public Library on the 3rd floor 823 Telfair St 30901.

Steve Pemberton is Divisional Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for Walgreens, the first person to hold that responsibility in the company’s 110 year history.  ” A Chance In The World” is Steve Pemberton’s auto biography of his life, which starts off with abandonment, child abuse and domestic violence. Steve Pemberton lives a life of excellence not excuses. He did what ever was necessary for him to advance himself despite his circumstances. He turned what could have been emotionally and mentally paralyzing effects of abuse in to pillars of strength.

IYBC I have not read this book, but the reviews are awesome. I am personally  always intrigue to “memoirs” that are words articulated from the author.  This is a powerful story.  This book was released 2012 you can down load it to your reader or order it from amazon starting at $14.00 in hard copy, it is not available in paperback. This price is subject to change.

I have heard from Steve Pemberton’s staff and he has agreed to skype in with us on 17 May 2012 6:30 pm. The Library has agreed to let us use the large screen on the first floor more details to follow as we approach 17 May 2012

New Members are always welcome, this book club is for men and women.

I thank you in advance for your support and commitment.

I look forward to an evening of “Diverse Dialog With Passion”
